Mediation and Thoughts

Wherever and whenever life has existed between a fixed polarity of birth and death, it has existed in singularity alone and unique. This uniqueness, this combination, this genome has never been absolutely the same between two beings.

History tells us that we have desired unity between beings and we have been running after this mirage since eternity. However nature doesn’t support this ambition. Both physically and mentally two beings have never been naturally and absolutely the same or clones of each other. The consequence of this dissimilarity is the very birth place of conflicts, hostility, wars, apathy, oppositions, contradictions and the likes. When we understand this dissimilarity we name it greed, jealously, hatred, prejudice and so on. We want them to go away, to evaporate and blame these for all the malice and mischief done.

This natural way is the way of the singularity and emptiness just like a child that dwells in peace in mother’s womb with the mind in its existential environment supported by this realm and that dimension? As the practice grows more and deeper, one realizes that they are pulled towards it and prefer to stay longer and longer in such a state, here life has a chance to blossom purposelessly without seeking, without anchoring.

When unification of thoughts through logic or faith has taken place extraordinary things have happened. These extraordinary events were from good to worst for humanity. The outcomes have been risky as this unification is against the very nature of existence that is infinity and the zero same time. Mind is nothing and thoughts being impermanent, two minds cannot exist with each other naturally, be it whatever interest. Belief or faith brings them together, if it happens, it happens only temporarily as it ultimately goes with the very pursuit of nature and the randomness of existence.

There can be harmony in a family, a neighborhood, between countries or beyond but then at the same time differences also do come up between the members resulting in apocalyptic destructions of life in skirmish and wars. The existence is endlessly versatile where infinite known and unknown beings live together, existence does not promote conflicts, and it’s just there effortlessly. It has no thought, no vision, no ambition, no ideas, no motive, and no plans. Imagine if all beings, trees, insects, animals, birds and all the others had thoughts, what would have happened?

In meditation a no mind state is desired, a no thought state is desired. It’s the ultimate natural path towards a conflict less; frictionless life where there is no thought but total solidarity, the natural way of life is the way that assimilates with the existence.

Birth and death are still a big mystery to us and what is left in between seems to be an open book to write. Some believe in karma, some in last birth’s punya and paap, some in miracles, some in destiny, and some in free will and so on. However these are nothing but thoughts; thoughts that may just come and go while few stay longer and turn into beliefs, ideologies and truths. These thoughts are responsible for one’s attitude and character, their personality and ultimately dictate one’s life events. These thoughts are the free will and the making of destiny. This energy of thoughts is not static but a very pulsating phenomenon; these thoughts stay as long as we live, even in the last moments.

Meditation is not anti thought and neither is ideology centric nor a pro detachment theory.  It’s more of a contentment of being alive. It’s impossible to change the external environment but it’s very much possible to merge with the existence and just be there living as a part of it happily. This acceptance is meditation and the very effort is the humility of just being a being and nothing more or less.
